Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 October 2026

Fingers Crossed is a random picker for groups: everyone puts a finger on the screen and the app picks one. This policy covers the iOS app, the web app and the website.

Fingers Crossed doesn't collect any personal data. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and the iOS app makes no network connections.

Touches

The app uses the positions of the fingers on the screen only to run the current round: to draw the circles and pick a finger. They're processed on your device, aren't stored after the round, and are never sent anywhere.

Settings

Your settings (dark or light appearance, and haptics on the iOS app) are saved only on your device: on iPhone and iPad in the app's local storage, in the web app in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device. Deleting the app, or clearing your browser's site data, removes them.

iOS app

The iOS app is distributed through Apple's App Store. If you've agreed to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may provide anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. This is handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy, and the data doesn't identify you.

Web app

The web app runs entirely in your browser and sends no data while you use it. It keeps its own files in your browser's cache so that it also works offline.

Website

When you open a page, the web server records the usual technical data, such as your IP address and the page requested, to deliver the pages and keep the server secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). These logs are deleted regularly. The website sets no cookies and uses no analytics.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. Since Fingers Crossed doesn't collect personal data, this mostly concerns the server logs described above.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with an updated date.
